Manicure Monday: Pinks!

Happy Monday!  So today I'm reviewing 3 nail polishes and no I don't have three hands ;)

Yes, I have feet!  This polish came in my Shoedazzle Package when I ordered shoes.  It's called "Dazzle Me Pink".  I like this polish, it goes on smooth and I know in the picture it almost looks orange, but it's a reddish/pink.

First let me apologize for my camera and the colors that didn't come out like they really are.  I waited too long to take them and the lighting just wasn't right.  I tried to color correct on the computer but I just couldn't get it right.

I thought I would alternate two different pinks on my hands today.

The light pink is Sally Hansen Diamond Strength No Chip in "Pink Promise".  They cover everything in their name of the polish except bubble free!  Unfortunately, the light pink bubbled on all nails as you will see in the pictures.  I'm not very happy with this one at all!

Moving on to the darker pink.....

This color is beautiful!  But again the pictures really came out bad today...sorry.  This polish is by Avon and is called Strawberry.  It's a gorgeous berry color that went on very smooth.

I'll probably have this polish off by tonite :)  Love the Avon, but do not like the Sally Diamond Strength.  Oh, prices....The Shoedazzle came as a free gift, the Avon was $2.99 and the Sally Hansen was $4.99.  Hope you guys have a great Monday!

I won again!

Yesssss!!  I won a prize from Allure Magazine's Free Stuff Giveaways from the November 2012 issue.  I completely forgot about it because they told me almost 3 months ago, but it came today.

What I won is a new Hair Color product called Tints of Nature Semi-Permanent Color in Copper Brown.  I picked that color because I have medium/dark brown hair and I wanted to add a little umpfff (is that a word?) to my hair.  Well you know what I mean :)  This hair color is free from ammonia, resorcinol, PPDs, PTDs and parabens.  So my hair color is the one in the middle (left) in the picture above and the color to the right is what I should get when I'm done.  I will do a post on it when I finally use it and show you a before and after picture.

You can buy this product at any natural product store, such as Whole Foods Market or online.  Retail price is about $18.00 (Ouch!).

I thank my lucky stars at how lucky I have been with winning contests and giveaways etc.  The end of last year, before they even released it to the public, I won a Gel Nail Kit with the UV light machine, valued at $59.99.  That one was Lucky Magazine's giveaways.  Then a few years ago I won an electric toothbrush valued at $200.00 (it was self cleaning), from Redbook magazine.  Then before that I won a DKNY shirt autographed by Uma Thurman for breast cancer.  I don't sign up for them a lot, I go in spurts pretty much.  I'll take about an hour and enter all the giveaways from the magazines every few months, so I am very lucky.

Just a quick note for all you thriftaholics out there.  Tomorrow at Thrift Town, all Women's clothing, jewelry and cosmetics will be 50% off!  Hopefully tomorrow I will be posting a small collective haul from several thrift stores, to show you the goodies I have picked up over the last few months.  Until then, have a great night!

Two Nail Reviews

Happy Monday!  I think I will call this Manicure Monday.  I have 2 nail polish reviews for you.  One that I did a few weeks ago and one over the weekend.

The first one is Loreal "Not a Cloud in Sight".  I did a review on a Loreal polish called "Now You Sea Me" in May 2012 and this one looks so much like it, but this one has a little more green in it.  Anyway, I love Loreal nail polishes, they go on smooth and last for days without chipping.  Here is how it came out:

I can't decide which Loreal color I like best, they are so close in color.  This one was $4.99 at Target.  The next one...

I did a review on a Wet 'N Wild polish last week and it chipped only after one day.  So this time I did 2 coats like I said I would and it turned out beautiful and is still in tact after 2 days.

This color is called "Through the Grapevine".  It's a beautiful color!  I did 2 coats and a shine enhancer on top.  I'm pretty impressed with Wet 'N Wild considering it only cost $1.99!  Plus, I'm looking at my nails right now and they look the same as when I did them on Saturday.

So it's settled, I will do nail polish reviews on Mondays from now on and call it Manicure Monday!  Have a great day!

Keurig Fever

Woo Hoo!  So I have been wanting a Keurig Coffee/Tea maker for awhile now, but they were just too expensive!  I am a Green Tea addict and it just takes too much time to make one cup of tea, when I drink probably 4 - 5 cups a day (decaf of course).

So, my wonderful, amazing, love of my life....we'll call him Chris (cause that's his name..he he) took me to Kohl's yesterday to get some new pans.  We started looking at the Keurigs and I said "Some day we're going to own one...someday".  He asked which one I would get and I saw this Special Edition one that I've never seen before.  It was regularly $189.99, it was on sale for $149.99 and I had a 20% coupon.  So he paid $119.99 and it comes with 12 K-cups....Yesss!

We also bought one of the refillable cups, because it can become quite expensive if you drink tea and coffee a lot.  I absolutely love it and it's so easy to use.  You just drop a K-cup in the hole, close the lid, select your cup size and in under 1 minute you have fresh hot Tea or Coffee!  I am one happy girl!

Speaking of good deals, I fell in love with the mug you see here in the picture.  I saw it at Target and they were $5.99 each!  They are made of stoneware and are more square than round, but $5.99 for one mug!  This chick is very frugal.  I went to the price scanner to make sure they were $5.99 and the scanner said the mug was $1.48!  What?  Figuring they made a mistake on just one mug, I scanned another.  I took all they had left, which was only four but hey, that's fine with me.  I paid a little less for 4 mugs mis-priced than I would have paid for just one mug.  Yeah me!!  Or yeah whoever priced it wrong!

I'm on my way to make my 3rd cup of tea for the day so I hope everyone has a wonderful weekend :)
