Luxe Lavender Nails

I believe this is my 3rd nail polish review in the past week or so.  This nail color is by Avon in Luxe Lavender.  It went on very smooth, dried beautifully and is a pretty color for Summer.  Plus, it is in the Avon Outlet Store right now for only $1.99, while supplies last!  Just click on the link above.  The color is so smooth it almost looks like I have acrylic nails huh?  But I don't, they are all mine :)  Here are a few pictures:

Have a great weekend everyone!

Bright Eyes!

I read this tip in a magazine recently, you may already know it.  Most of us have used a blue or white pencil on the lower rims of the eye, to brighten our eyes or distract from redness.  I've been reading lately about using a natural or vanilla colored pencil instead, so it looks more natural.  I looked in the drugstores to try and find one, but no luck.  I finally found one by Avon called Big Color Eye Pencil in Vanilla and it works great!

I took a picture of my eyes, one with the vanilla eye pencil on my lower rim and one without.  I was looking more to see the change in the whites of my eyes, but surprisingly you can actually see how the vanilla eye pencil changed the shape of my right eye compared to my left.  It opened up my eye drastically, as my eyes are more of a smaller almond shape.  Please excuse my eyebrows, I have been very lazy lately.....

This was a fun experiment, you should try it!

Rimmel Nail Polish

I tried another nail polish today by Rimmel.  The full name is Rimmel Lasting Finish Pro in Steel Grey.  I picked this color because it looked like a pretty shade of Lavender.  The color was very hard to capture on camera for some reason, but it really is a Grayish Lavender color, very unique.  It also has a flat brush, I think they are becoming more common now.  They are so much easier to apply when they are flat.  I really love this polish, it went on smooth and it dried beautifully.  It was $3.50 at Target, so the price is great!  Here are a few pics and please excuse my cuticles, I was mortified when I saw the pictures :)

Sorry for the reflection from the window, just wanted to show how shiny they were

This color is much prettier in person, trust me.  So I would definately recommend this nail polish.  Beautiful colors, goes on smooth, flat brush and the price....can't beat it!

Have a good weekend everyone!

Pretty in Pink

I've been trying a lot of different brands of nail polishes lately.  I want one that dries quickly, but doesn't leave bubbles in the polish once it's dry.  I also want one that does not chip the next day.  It never fails when I spend time doing my nails, the next day most of my nails have chipped from doing everyday things.  So if anyone has tried a nail polish that fits the above description, I would really appreciate your suggestions.

The nail polish I tried today is Sally Hansen Nailgrowth Miracle, in Pretty Petunia.  It has a built in nail strengthener, so it can make your nails stronger while your polish is on.  Another thing I like about it is the flat applicator brush.  So basically all you need to do is one stroke down the middle, and then one on each side.  Here are some pictures:

Vince Camuto Wedges!

My Vince Camuto Wedges are here, YESSS!  I took some pictures:

Vince Camuto "DOMINIC" Wedge Sandal

Vince Camuto "DARLENE" Wedge with Rosettes

They both have a 4" heel including the 1" platform.  These Vince Camuto shoes are not like other wedges where your foot is at a slant, and the pressure is all on the ball of your foot. They are made so your heel relaxes back into the shoes instead of slanting, taking the weight off the ball of your foot.  I have never had a pair of Vince Camuto shoes and I LOVE them!  They are so comfortable, you don't even feel like you are wearing heels!

Sorry for the lack of color in my legs, I don't have a tan yet.  In fact, I am working on a tutorial on how to make your legs look good for Summer using my favorite tanning lotion.  I will also have "before and after" pictures of my legs.  Happy Wednesday :)

Shoes...shoes!

I'm so excited!  I was flipping channels last night and I saw "Vince Camuto shoes" on HSN.  One hour and 2 pairs of shoes later....well here is what I got before they sold out:

I got these in Natural, but I got them with the natural colored rosettes, not the color shown...And....

I got these in black.

I've been wanting black wedges for so long now, but just never found the right pair.  Then they showed the natural colored ones with the rosettes that tie around your ankle and I fell in love with them.  I can't wait to get these and I will take pictures with them on.  These are by far the most expensive shoes I have ever bought!  But I figured since they were offering the flex pay, I would just go for it!

June is Here!

I've been under the weather since Sunday!  But I've been catching up on my Beauty & Fashion magazines for June, so I can stay in the loop while I'm sick :)
