It's Been So Long

I know I've said this a few times before, but it's been way too long since I've blogged!  My only excuse is that life got in the way, as you may have experienced yourself.  I have so much to share, such as new pictures, awesome thrift finds and I still have to practice taking pictures with my self-timer, so I can post pictures of my outfits.  Now that it gets darker at an earlier time, it's a little harder.

So stay tuned.....

Everyone loves Chocolate!

Here is a quick nail polish review and I mean quick.  I slapped that polish on before I lost the outside light to take pictures!  It is one of my faves from Avon, and it is called Deluxe Chocolate.

I think this is the perfect Nail Polish to go with all the Fall colors and I love this Rich Brown shade with tiny flecks of gold in it!

It also goes very well with animal prints!

Thanks for taking time to read this!

Splurge!

A few weeks ago, I read in the paper about a Beauty & Fashion Shopping Extravaganza coming to town called SPLURGE.  The event was yesterday and I took my Mom with me, because I wanted to spend time with her and what better way right?  It was being held at one of our many Casinos in one of their Ballrooms.  The event was to raise money for Breast Cancer Research, since October is Breast Cancer Awareness Month.

There were exhibitors from wall to wall with everything to purchase from Jewelry, Fashion, Shoes, Cosmetics, Photography and Beauty Services.  They were doing makeovers and using straightening irons on women's hair.  They also had a lot of free drawings to win different products and services.

As we made it towards the back, they had free samples of the best Mini Cupcakes compliments of Cake Fetish Cupcakes here in Albuquerque.  They were also giving Champagne, Wine and Lemon Drop samples.  Cupcakes & Cocktails I guess you would call it :)

They had the most beautiful things there and the prices were amazing!  I took my camera so I could share it with you, until we got there and there are no cameras, video recorders or photography allowed in the Casino!  I had completely forgot that all of our Casinos are on Indian land.

We spent a few hours there and when you leave you get a little gift bag with brand name products in them.  So I took some pictures of the goodies we received in the bag.

I didn't purchase anything there, because I have to really want something bad enough to buy it, but my Mom purchased a few things, including something for me :)  She spoils me :)  She bought me this lotion we both sampled and we both loved it, but it was too high priced for me.  The lotion is called Hempz Body Lotion, and it is supposed to moisturize for 12 hours, plus it smells AMAZING!  It is a 17 Oz. bottle for $18.00 and she surprised me with it.  I can't stop smelling my hands and arms!

Here is what was in the gift bag:

1.  Stainless Steel High Heel Cake Server by Slice of Style
2.  Tea Tree Triple Treat Shampoo, Conditioner & Body Wash by Giovanni
3.  Hope in a Jar Moisturizer by Philosophy
4.  Spray Hair Wax by Lanza Healing Haircare
5. New Beauty Magazine (I think it's new & retail cost is $9.95!)
6. Milani  Powder Blush in #08 Luminous
7.  White Shower Scrubber
8.  Colgate Pro Clinical Whitening Gel
9.  Luna Nutritional Bar (Very good by the way)

So all in all we had a great time! Here are some photos I took outside the Casino because it was so pretty:

Thanks for reading and have a great weekend!

Shades of Gray

I just realized how long it has been since I've posted....Wow!  Well I have another nail polish review for you, surprise surprise!  I have one shade on my toe nails and a different shade on my nails.

The color on my toe nails is called Gunmetal and the color on my hands is called Nocturnal, both by Avon.  I like the color on my toe nails, but I didn't like the consistency of the polish itself.  That is why I removed it from my hands and did a different color.  One is shimmery and the other natural and very pretty.  I love the color of the one on my hands, it's just a beautiful neutral that goes on so smooth.  Have a great Tuesday!

Cherries In the Snow

I hope you don't get sick of nail polish reviews :)  So here is another one:

The nail polish is by Revlon and it is called Cherries in the Snow, and it's a very Classic Red.  I love the polish and the color and would recommend this to everyone!

Bare Necessity!

Yes, another nail polish review.  I swear I change my nail polish way too much!  This time I wanted to try a more natural nail color, so I went with Avon's Nailwear Pro in Bare Necessity.  I really liked it!  I thought it was going to wash out the color of my skin, but it was just the right shade.  I think next week I'm going to start wearing some Fall colors on my nails.  I have some beautiful shades that I bought about a month ago that I can't wait to try out :)  Hope you had a great Friday and have a wonderful weekend!

DIY Necklace Organizer!

Yeahhhh!!!!  I received the Jewelry Organizer I asked for, as an early Birthday present!  So I wanted to share it with you.  You can either hang it on the back of any door, or it comes with the brackets to adhere it to a wall.  It is from Brylane Home, and was on sale for $59.95.
Jewelry Organizer

Ring Holder at the top that holds about 50 rings

2 rows to hold 75+ bracelets & watches
Below that is a tray with individual dividers that I use for my cuff bracelets

Earring Holder that holds 75 pairs of earrings

Space on the sides also

Necklace Holder that holds 100+ necklaces

This is the DIY necklace holder I made, but I had
so many necklaces I chose to keep one necklace on each hook, so it
it would not overcrowd the organizer

If you would like to know how I made this necklace/bracelet holder above,
just e-mail me, but it's pretty easy to tell from the pictures :)

Green with Envy!

I've never ever worn Green nail polish, but I fell in love with this color when I saw it, and thought it would be perfect for Fall.  The brand is from Avon, of course, and the color is Olive Green.  I like everything about the way this came out, but Avon is still not my favorite polish.  I do recommend this polish and color though.  Here is how it came out:

My nails only have 1 coat of polish

My toes have 2 coats on them

Another Nail Polish Review!

Yes, I tried yet another new nail polish over the weekend!  I used this one on my toes.  It's by Mark and it's called Fuschia-istic.  I love the color and everything, but I was a little disappointed over the small size of the bottle.  I mean it came as a duo, two different colors for about $4.50, but it's the smallest nail polish I've ever seen in my life!  Anyway, love the hot pink color!  I also put Sally Hansen Diamond Shine Base & Top Coat over it.  This makes any polish very shiny and I've used it for years, so highly recommended!

Hope you enjoyed another polish review!
