Nail Polish Review: Mint

I bought a few nail polishes over the weekend, I just have this obsession with them!  I try to buy inexpensive ones and higher priced ones, but have not been able to get myself to pay almost $8.00 for Essie yet.  I just adore all the colors of Essie!  Here is one of the inexpensive ones, by Sinful Color Professional in Mint Apple:

I said when I started this Blog that any review I do is purchased with my own money and I will also give you my honest opinion, good or bad.  This polish went on very thin at first, almost water thin.  So I had to add more polish just to get the color to come out.  Then as you might be able to see from the pictures, my nails have clumpy bubbles on them.  Needless to say don't waste your whole $1.99 on this polish, I would not recommend this to anyone.  Pretty color though!

My Style Book is here!!

I just received Jessica Quirk's book, "What I Wore" in the mail today.  Jessica Quirk's Blog is one of my favorite Blogs and she has been a huge inspiration to me, so much that I started my own Style Blog.

I'm so glad I pre-ordered this book and I wasn't expecting it this soon, but it's here!  If it's as good as her Blog, then I know I will love it, and I will do a review as soon as I'm done reading it.

Red, White & Blue!

Happy 4th everyone!  I haven't taken any outfit pictures since I started this Blog because I don't have anyone to take them for me, it's hard to do with the self timer and I'm waiting until I can afford to buy a remote for my camera.  So today I tried to take the pictures in the mirror of what I am wearing for the 4th of July, nails and all!  Believe it or not, this so called "outfit" were the only clothes I had in red, white & blue!  I need to go shopping!

What did you wear on the 4th of July?

Organizing Accessories

This is the Necklace Holder I made a long time ago and here is how you do it:

DIY Jewelry Holder Instructions

-  Round Wooden dowel from any craft store like Hobby Lobby, Michaels (Mine is 1" thickness & 24" long, but you can get whatever size you want, they have all lengths and thickness)
-  Small Screw in hooks (In any craft store, just ask)
-  2 Sawtooth Picture hangers 1 1/2" wide or Small (In any craft store in the framing department)

You will have to determine how long you want it to be and how many necklaces you want to hang, and that will give you the amount of screw in hooks you need (I used 23 hooks)

It's very easy!  Take the wooden dowel and measure across how many inches you want each screw or how close you want each necklace to be next to each other.  Mine is 1" in between each necklace.  Take a pencil and make a dot at every inch so you know where to put each screw in hook.  Screw the hooks in at each pencil mark.  Then just determine where you want the picture hangers to go on the back of the dowel.  Mine are on each end of the dowel.  This is where you are going to hang the necklace holder with nails on your wall, one nail per sawtooth hanger.

Then for my earrings, bracelets and rings, I used this Gift Wrap Organizer from Avon below.  It hangs on the back of my closet door.

I recently found a complete jewelry organizer for under $75.00, it fits everything!  I asked for it for my Birthday, so we'll see!

Then for my Belts I used a simple metal belt hanger or tie hanger from Target.  Sorry the picture downloaded on it's side, but I fixed it.

Now this is my closet, organized by category (tees, tanks, long sleeve shirts, dresses etc.) and each category is done by color:

I'm trying to figure out a new way to do my shoes right now, so I'll post pictures when I'm done :)  Have a wonderful evening!
