New Handbag & Wallet!

Yes, I am still spending my Birthday money from September!  I told you I was frugal :)  

I saw this Merona Handbag at Target at the end of the Summer and fell in love with it.  But $39.99?  Umm.....No.  So I got on Target's website and I added it to my cart because, they are not like some websites where they remove your item after 24 hours, but now if it's still in the basket and someone buys the last one, you will lose it, which is totally fair.  So I leave some items I like in the cart and keep checking back weekly when Target does their weekly discount markdowns all the way up to 90% sometimes!  Well it finally went down and I got it for $12.00!  Yeah baby 70% off!

What I loved about this purse is that is has a middle compartment for your main things such as your wallet etc. and then it has 2 thinner zippered openings on each side, maybe for your makeup bag, important papers you may need with and such.  I can't stand some of these beautiful bags, and then you look inside and it's one huge compartment.  How in the heck can I find anything in there?  Anyway I LOVE, LOVE, LOVE my new bag.  That's not all.....

I went to Payless while I was running errands just to see what they had.  Of course everything was on sale...."maybe I should leave" I told myself.  But I didn't and of course I found this Christian Siriano for Payless wallet that just sang to me LA LA LA!! It felt like real leather but of course it is faux and it was $14.99 which is still pushing it for me. But then I noticed it was on sale for $9.99, plus Payless gives you a AAA discount if you are a member, so I think I paid about $8.49 for it!  CHA CHING!!

This is what the inside looks like.  I like that it doesn't have a million different fold outs and pockets, it's got room for your bank or credits cards and there's one on the other side too, you can't see it in the picture.  It has a place for money at the very top and a zippered change purse in the middle.  I don't carry checks anymore which is why I like something slim like this.  Did you notice?  It matches my new handbag too :)

I still have $15.00 left of my birthday money....Shopping shopping shopping!

Jason Wu for Target

I guess I would say I'm very lucky in a sense, because where I live (Albuquerque, NM) is not exactly the fashion capitol of the SW!  Therefore, when designers collaberate with Target, I don't have to be there on the 1st day, waiting outside for them to open, fighting crowds of women all looking for the same thing. 

I believe I bought this black pleated skirt and handbag a week after Jason Wu's collection debuted here.  

I read in a few blogs how hard it was to get anything that day, so I am very blessed!  In fact it's been about 2 weeks since Jason Wu debuted and they still have some clothing and handbags in stock!

In fact, when Missoni came out at Target, I went about a week later and they didn't really have alot of clothes left, but they had a ton of  pumps and rain boots.  I really wanted the pumps, but the size 6 was huge on me and the size 5.5 was way too tight.  The pumps were actually there so long they went on clearance a week later for $14.99!!  I still decided not to get them, which I am now regretting.  Then I was at Goodwill the other day and what did I find?  The Missoni pumps I wanted for only $6.99 I believe, but they were a size 6.  Do you think someone was trying to say "Get the shoes Lori, get the shoes".

Anyway, I can't wait for the next Target collaberation :)

Thrift Find!

I forgot to post this, but I was at the Thrift Store last week and found a Kathy Van Zeeland handbag in excellent condition! 

 

The best thing about it?  The price, $14.99 plus they were having a %50 off sale, so I paid about $7.50 and it's practically brand new!  I just LOVE thrifting....Have a great night!
