New Handbag & Wallet!

Yes, I am still spending my Birthday money from September!  I told you I was frugal :)

I saw this Merona Handbag at Target at the end of the Summer and fell in love with it.  But $39.99?  Umm.....No.  So I got on Target's website and I added it to my cart because, they are not like some websites where they remove your item after 24 hours, but now if it's still in the basket and someone buys the last one, you will lose it, which is totally fair.  So I leave some items I like in the cart and keep checking back weekly when Target does their weekly discount markdowns all the way up to 90% sometimes!  Well it finally went down and I got it for $12.00!  Yeah baby 70% off!

What I loved about this purse is that is has a middle compartment for your main things such as your wallet etc. and then it has 2 thinner zippered openings on each side, maybe for your makeup bag, important papers you may need with and such.  I can't stand some of these beautiful bags, and then you look inside and it's one huge compartment.  How in the heck can I find anything in there?  Anyway I LOVE, LOVE, LOVE my new bag.  That's not all.....

I went to Payless while I was running errands just to see what they had.  Of course everything was on sale...."maybe I should leave" I told myself.  But I didn't and of course I found this Christian Siriano for Payless wallet that just sang to me LA LA LA!! It felt like real leather but of course it is faux and it was $14.99 which is still pushing it for me. But then I noticed it was on sale for $9.99, plus Payless gives you a AAA discount if you are a member, so I think I paid about $8.49 for it!  CHA CHING!!

This is what the inside looks like.  I like that it doesn't have a million different fold outs and pockets, it's got room for your bank or credits cards and there's one on the other side too, you can't see it in the picture.  It has a place for money at the very top and a zippered change purse in the middle.  I don't carry checks anymore which is why I like something slim like this.  Did you notice?  It matches my new handbag too :)

I still have $15.00 left of my birthday money....Shopping shopping shopping!

Have a great Tuesday everyone!

Mascara Review

I needed a new mascara desperately, so I looked at some reviews on You Tube and chose 2 that I thought were the most liked and 1 more that I have always had good luck with, but it's an updated version.  I tried to take pictures of the mascara on my eyes, but I have not mastered that one yet, sorry :)

The first one is one that I have liked ever since they started with L'oreal Voluminous Lashes is L'oreal Voluminous Million Lashes Excess....whew that was a mouth full!!  I do like this one, but it's not my favorite out of the 3.  It is good maybe if you want a light touch of mascara, because that is what one coat gives you, very light, but clump free.  I added a second coat and it was a lot better, but don't wait to long to put the 2nd coat on because it dries fast and you could get clumps.  What I do like about this is the way it makes your lashes feel light as a feather, with it's brush having both long and short bristles for good separation.  The packaging is beautiful in red and gold metallic and the smell of it was like a sweet perfume.  It was $7.99 at Target and I would recommend it to someone just starting out applying makeup.

The 2nd one is L'oreal Voluminous Butterfly Intenza, which is fairly new.  This one got a lot of good reviews on You Tube.  This brush intimidated me, seriously I was afraid to use it, quit laughing :)  It was not like any other brush I had ever seen, but it's called a double wing shape.  You are supposed to use one wing side to apply the first coat root to tip, then you flip it over and do the same and it is supposed to fan out your lashes.  This is just with one coat.  The wings in the brush are like little combs to separate each lash.  My opinion, I love this little scary, intimidating brush because of what it does to your lashes.  I highly recommend it!  It gave me a fanned out look like it said it would.  I personally like it better with 2 coats for a more dramatic look. The packaging is red and silver metallic and it smells just like the one above, like a sweet perfume.  It was also $7.99 at Target.

The 3rd and last mascara I bought is Covergirl Bombshell Volume by Lashblast.  This is the fattest mascara I've ever seen in my life!  It has 2 sides to it with a big #1 and #2 on each side.  This one has 2 steps to it, hence the numbers, so if you can't count, your too young to be reading this post ;)   First, you load on side #1 for unbelievably big volume, their words not mine ;) Then you use side #2 to seal in with one coat for an intense, dark, all day finish.  I put on the first coat, side #1 and I thought "I don't like this, it barely got any mascara on my lashes".  Then I used side #2 and this is what makes them thicker and actually darker!  I love this one too!  This mascara was $8.99 at Target, but luckily I had a $2.50 off coupon.

OK, my favorite out of the three?  (Drumroll please.....drum drum drum drum drum)  The winner is L'oreal Voluminous Butterfly Intenza with Covergirl Bombshell being a very close 2nd :)

Have a great Thanksgiving everyone!!!

Keurig Fever

Woo Hoo!  So I have been wanting a Keurig Coffee/Tea maker for awhile now, but they were just too expensive!  I am a Green Tea addict and it just takes too much time to make one cup of tea, when I drink probably 4 - 5 cups a day (decaf of course).

So, my wonderful, amazing, love of my life....we'll call him Chris (cause that's his name..he he) took me to Kohl's yesterday to get some new pans.  We started looking at the Keurigs and I said "Some day we're going to own one...someday".  He asked which one I would get and I saw this Special Edition one that I've never seen before.  It was regularly $189.99, it was on sale for $149.99 and I had a 20% coupon.  So he paid $119.99 and it comes with 12 K-cups....Yesss!

We also bought one of the refillable cups, because it can become quite expensive if you drink tea and coffee a lot.  I absolutely love it and it's so easy to use.  You just drop a K-cup in the hole, close the lid, select your cup size and in under 1 minute you have fresh hot Tea or Coffee!  I am one happy girl!

Speaking of good deals, I fell in love with the mug you see here in the picture.  I saw it at Target and they were $5.99 each!  They are made of stoneware and are more square than round, but $5.99 for one mug!  This chick is very frugal.  I went to the price scanner to make sure they were $5.99 and the scanner said the mug was $1.48!  What?  Figuring they made a mistake on just one mug, I scanned another.  I took all they had left, which was only four but hey, that's fine with me.  I paid a little less for 4 mugs mis-priced than I would have paid for just one mug.  Yeah me!!  Or yeah whoever priced it wrong!

I'm on my way to make my 3rd cup of tea for the day so I hope everyone has a wonderful weekend :)

Goodwill Goodies!

Yesterday I went to the Goodwill to try to find a few new items to add to my closet.  It wasn't a great thrift day where you hit the jackpot but I found a few things.  You probably already know this, but Goodwill is kind of an overflow so to speak, for Target.  Which means when Target's clearance items have been on the floor too long they donate them to Goodwill, which means Target goodies for me at great prices :)

Every time I go to Target I look at the Handbags & Belts first, then the clothes.  They have the cutest belts and I've seen so many that I want, but I am not willing to pay $12.99 - $16.99 for one belt!  So I was looking through the belts at Goodwill and I found a bunch of brand new belts from Target, with the tags still on them for $2.99 a piece!  A few of these belts, such as the double black belt, are ones that are still at Target for $12.99!

Anyway, here is what I got at the Goodwill:
New Black Double Belt (Retail: $16.99)

New Target Black Patent Belt (Retail: $12.99)

New Target Green Suede Belt (Retail: $12.99)
New Target Red Belt (Retail: $12.99)
Old Navy Jeans Belt

New Target Tan Leather Belt (Retail: $12.99)

So, I paid $14.95 for 5 brand new Target belts and retail would have been $68.95 for all 5!  I think that was a pretty good deal!

Then I found a wristlet in Spring colors, by Poppie Jones for $4.99:

Last but not least I found a Coral colored blazer from H & M, for $3.99!

This blazer was not only a great Spring color and my size, bu being from H & M is a big deal to me because we don't have an H &M here.  I see all these awesome things that other bloggers got from H & M at great prices and I wish we had one here.  Or at least be able to buy online.  Maybe some day.

Have a great Wednesday!
