Ulta Haul

I did a little online shopping at Ulta the other night and here is what I got:

First, I am probably the only girl on Earth that has not tried Urban Decay's Primer Potion, but I purchased the new one with Anti-Aging in it to protect your delicate eyelids from getting wrinkled.  So far I love it.  My eyeshadow lasts all day without fading or creasing.

I also replaced my fave face primer, Too Faced Primed & Poreless...Love this stuff!

I also got yet another lip plumper (I never give up!).  I got NYX Pump it Up in Angelina, a very natural color, but no plump...Wa wa waaaaa!

I've never tried Benefit's They're Real Mascara, so thought I would give it a try.  I really do love this one!  Not only does it make your lashes long, but it has a little spiked brush on the end to vertically apply to those little lashes at the base that a normal brush would miss.  Love this!

I bought this Smashbox Bestsellers Kit for $19.00.

Smashbox Photo Finish Eye Primer

Smashbox Limitless Eyeliner in Onyx

It is a smooth gel liner

I haven't been able to try this yet, but I will let you know.

Lip Enhancing Gloss in Illume, a very natural gloss for those days when you just feel like lip balm, but with a little shimmer.

Last in the Smashbox Kit is the well known face primer Photo Finish, which is actually the very first face primer I have ever used...a long, long time ago.  It makes your skin feel like silk and preps it for foundation.  I will always love this!

This next set of pictures is a free gift I got with purchase, all Stila products.

Stila Lip Glaze in Vanilla

Smudge Crayon in Bronze

Smudge Crayon in Smoke

Smudge Crayon in Black

I love all of these especially the smudge crayons, but I made a big mistake and didn't check to see if it was a pencil or a twist up liner and I sharpened it!  Eeek!  Unfortunately, I ruined my fave...the bronze one.

That is it for my Ulta Haul, hope you have a great Wednesday!

New Benefit Products

I recently ordered these brand new Benefit products on HSN and I would have done this review earlier, but they took over a month to get here.  I guess demand was very high for these when I ordered.

So the first product is Rockateur, which is a blush/highlighter, basically to give your skin the slightest glow.

It comes with this little brush, but I preferred a fluffy brush.  In fact be careful, the brush handle scratched my face, so I switched to a fluffy brush.

It is built into the box and you get 0.17 ounces, which in my opinion is not a lot for the huge price tag!  Its a beautiful mauve color with a shimmer.  In the next pictures I have Rockateur on my right side (your left) and Nars Orgasm on my left (your right).

In my opinion, they are way too close to the same color with the Rockateur having a slight peach in it.  After watching them put this color on women on HSN, I was expecting a lot more, especially for the price!  The only thing I even like about this product would be the box....lol.  Needless to say, this one is going back to HSN.

This is Benefit's Gimme Brow, the new brow volumizing fiber gel for your eyebrows.  This impressed me!  Sorry in advance for the bad pictures as I had to take these myself and I'm not used to it at all.

The brow on your right is how my brows look without anything on them and believe me the other side is more sparse!

This is after I put Gimme Brow on.  I love it!  It deposits little colored gel fibers onto the hair to fill in spots and then you can extend the brow like I did above.  If your brows are like mine, the hair at the ends of my brows got lighter and eventually...Gone!

With practice, you can master the brow extension to look natural.  There are two colors, I believe one is Light/Medium and Medium/Deep.  I chose the latter.  You get 0.1 ounce and it is a steep $22.00, but worth every penny to me!

Have a great weekend!

Last Summer Nail Review

I received the purple color on the right in a Birchbox shipment in June and I loved it!  So when the set came back in stock, I bought it.  It was $8.00 normally, but I had a feedback credit for doing some feedback on products, so I only paid $3.00 for the set...Shipped!

I did a review on the purple color here in June.  Now I want to do a review for the other three.

Mod In Manhattan

Reign In Spain

London Calling

So here they are, very neon!  This is only 1 coat and it is very thick and bright.  Unfortunately I'm very disappointed because I thought they would be just as beautiful as the purple one.

OMG....Please excuse my cuticles!  This is what it looks like up close.  I mean, they are pretty colors, but I just thought they would be lighter.  At least I only paid $3.00 for them and I now I have an extra of the purple one, "Pardon My French".

Have a great Tuesday!

DIY.....Sort of

Here are a few things I have done over the past year that I thought I would share with you.  They are not really a DIY because I didn't make any of these, I just used other things lying around and put them to use for other things.  I repurposed them I guess :)

Magazine Rack

Our neighbor gave us this brand new CD rack when she moved, because she was going to throw it away and we can't have that can we?  Our CD's had a home already and our DVDs didn't fit, so it sat there as a decor piece for months.  Then (my boyfriend gets the credit here) I came out and all my magazines were individually displayed in each slot.  Perfect!!

Makeup Brush Holder

I had this pretty blue planter hanging around for my still life pictures that I take.  Well, I had my brushes in another container, but some of the brushes have shorter handles than the others, so they were getting lost in the mix.  It was hard to find the brush I needed.  So this is what I did:

I also had some round glass beads that you can find in the planting area of a craft or hobby store.  So just put the glass beads inside the planter and arrange your brushes so the shorter ones are to the outside where you can see them.  Easy peasy!

Earring Hanger/Display

I bought this from Target on clearance for about $2.98 awhile ago.  It is a toothbrush holder actually.  But after awhile the toothbrushes kept slipping out, so I bought something else for them.  So I racked my brain on what I could use this for because it is so unique and pretty.  It just came to me one day...hang some of my earrings off of it and put it on my dresser not only for storage, but for decor.

Of course it holds more earrings than this, I just took some off for taking the photo.

Well, that's it for my "DIY sort of" for the day!  Hope you can use some of these ideas!  Have a great Wednesday!

Nail Review: Loreal

I have a new nail polish review today!

The nail polish is by Loreal and is called "Crazy For Chic".  It is a pinkish/red color, but more pink than red.

I love Loreal nail polishes!  I love the new colors they keep coming up with and I have never really had a problem with them.  They go on smooth, dry smooth and last long.

I believe they are about $4.99 at Target.  So they are very affordable!

Happy Tuesday!

Tenacious Teal

Here is another quick nail polish review.  The polish I used this time is Maybelline Color Show in Tenacious Teal.

Its a beautiful shade of green , I would say more of a medium green.

It went on kind of thin or watery unfortunately.  I used a base/ridge filler underneath as I always do.  Then I applied 2 coats plus a shine coat on top of that and it was already chipping by the next morning.  This could be a fluke on my nails part, so I will try a different color next time and let you know.

Its a beautiful color right after you put it on, I just didn't like the way it went on in the first place.  But its Maybelline....I have to give it a second chance!  Oh, I believe this one was about $4.99 at Target.

Its almost the weekend...woo-hoo!

Mally Beauty

I just received my order from QVC and I got Mally's 5 piece Bulletproof Set.  Her new bulletproof products stay on...and on...and ON!  I have been a Mallynista for years!

The first 2 products I got are the Poreless Perfection Glowing Foundation in Medium and the Evercolor Shadow Stick in Dusk.  The foundation goes on silky soft with a powder brush and has great coverage.  The eyeshadow stick is a creamy shadow and goes on smooth, with 30 seconds of playtime before it stays put.

Then we have My High Shine Liquid Lipstick in Pouty Pink.  This is my favorite lip color ever!  Plus it won QVC's customer choice award for the past 2 years in a row!  Then the Evercolor Starlight Waterproof Liner in Black Velvet, also QVC's customer choice for best liner.  It goes on smooth with across your lids and then you have just enough time to smudge it or blend it before it stays put.

Lastly, we have Volumizing Mascara in Black.  Also, QVC's Award winner for best mascara 3 years in a row!  This mascara makes you look like you're wearing falsies.

I love all 5 of the Mally products I received.

Have a great Wednesday!

Color Club Nails

This is the nail polish I received in my June Birchbox yesterday.  It's by Color Club in the color "Pardon My French".

This is the most unique and amazing nail polish color I have ever tried!  I tried to capture the color on camera, but you just can't capture the true color.

I would say it is a lavender/lilac shade, but it glows!  I know that sounds weird, but it does.  Its not shimmery like so many polishes are right now, but I would say more of a light neon....glow...You'll just have to try it, trust me!

This picture is probably the closest I could get to the actual color.  So my opinion on this polish is...beautiful, glowing, smooth, matte and shiny!  Really!  The great part is the price.  The set is called The Wanderlust Collection.  It comes in a set of 4 for only $8.00!  They are sherbert colors like mint, coral, lavender and off white.  They are smaller than the normal nail polish, but at $8.00 for 4 of them, you can't beat that!  You can check them out here.

Have a great day!
