June Birchbox!

Yeah!  I get so excited when my Birchbox arrives!  Here is what I got this month:

I got 4 samples & 1 full size product

Antica Farmacista Body Moisturizer in Grapefruit

Color Club Wanderlust Collection Nail Polish in "Pardon My French".  This color is a beautiful shimmery lavender and I can't wait to try it!  Small pack of Glee Gum in refresh mint.

Sukiface Exfoliate Foaming Cleanser in Lemongrass Extract & Natural Sugar.  I can't wait to try this, but warning to all it smells like Lemon Pledge.

This is my fave of all of them!  Its Mirenesse Lip pencil, but its a 4 in one product.  It goes on like lipstick, then has a gloss like a lip gloss, dries to a stain and you can use it as a cheek stain.  Its very soft, stays on and I love the red color which by the way is Glossy Kiss.

Last but not least, some inspiration cards and the cards that lists the products & full size prices.  Do you have a Birchbox subscription?  If so, share yours with me :)  Have a great day!

May Favorites!

Happy Saturday!  I've never done a monthly favorites before, so here it is.

So.....my first fave is Cover Girl Outlast Stay Fabulous 3 in 1 foundation.  The color that is right for me is #832 Nude Beige.  I absolutely LOVE this foundation!  I believe the 3 in 1 is primer, moisturizer and foundation or is it concealer?  It goes on so smooth and you just start seeing any imperfections go away like magic!  It's a pump bottle and I just use one pump for my entire face, using a flat top stippling brush.  I find that foundation goes on really well with these types of brushes.

This is my favorite primer right now.  It is Too Faced Primed & Poreless Skin Smoothing Face Primer....whew....I'm out of breath!  You can use this alone if you want that flawless look or under your foundation for a smooth, flawless matte finish.  It's so soft when you first put it on and it leaves your skin so smooth.  Love it!

Next we have ELF Contouring Blush & Bronzer in the color Blushed/Bronzed (Boy they must have worked hard to come up with that name....Hello!).  I know it looks very pigmented, but it is a lot lighter once it's on your face.  Plus, you get a lot of product in this one for only $3.00.

This is a product I ordered off of HSN or QVC.  The makeup line is called YBF (Your Best Friend).  This powder really is your best friend, trust me.  First of all, the packaging is beautiful with the black and red Swarovski crystals.  It is a neutralizing compact powder that gets rid of any redness on your face and it also brightens your face.  I put this on with a big powder brush.  I just love it!

Next is NYC Individual Eyes in the color Union Square #938.  This little compact is great because you have beautiful colors that work great together, an eye primer and a cream highlighter all in one.  I tried (key word being tried) to swatch it so you can see the colors better, but now I think my arm just looks bruised......Hmmm.  Anyway, it's a great little compact.

I have tried SO many mascaras it's crazy!  I keep going back to these two, especially the one on the left.

The first thing I do is curl my lashes.  Then I use this Maybelline XXL PRO Extensions mascara in Very Black.  This is a 2 sided mascara, one for primer and the mascara on the other end.  I put the white primer on first and it really makes your lashes stand out so you can see where the mascara is going.

Then I put one coat of the black mascara.  I use this one for length.

Then for volume I use Maybelline The Falsies Volum' Express in Blackest Black.  It has a curved brush so it gives you a lot of volume (or as they say in a French accent, Volum').  I have found that using these 2 together gives you a false lash look.

This next one is Awesome with a capital A!  Okay, first of all I got this eyeliner in my May Birchbox and this was the only thing that survived.  It had exploded I guess because samples were empty and cream was all over the place.  This is a Contrast Eye Pencil by Sumita Beauty in the color Raina.  It's a beautiful blue color as you can see by the swatch below.

I have brown eyes so I thought of all colors, why did they send me blue!  I tried it and now I'm hooked.  First of all, this eye pencil gives you enough time to put it on and blend it in and then it's set in stone.  It does not come off trust me, I wore it all day!  The pencil itself is very soft and glides on.  Love..love!  They were sold out of all the colors on Birchbox, but as of yesterday they are back.  They are $11.00 which is not bad for what you get.  Check it out before they are gone again.

I love nail polish as you may know from all the reviews I have done.  These are my two faves for May.  Essie in Naughty Nautical, which I did a post here on this one.

The next one surprised me because it is a cheaper brand, okay it is cheap....okay it was $1.99 and I searched for a coupon, I'm cheap I'm cheap...sue me!  Anyway, it is Wet 'N Wild in the color On a Trip.  Love, love, love!  I did a post on this one here.  Oh, and if you look at this post, putting on 2 coats was much better after all.

I found these two brand new skinny belts from Target at The Goodwill!  At Target they are normally $14.99 a piece and I got these for $2.99 a piece!  Woo-hoo...doing the happy dance :)

A new purse...for me......and its Cobalt Blue and pretty!  I bought this from JCP, yeah that's what all the cool people are calling it now and for all you out there who don't know, JC Penney is now going by their initials.  So I guess I'm not that cool now that the secret is out.  I'm not familiar with the brand though, but I just loved the color!  The brand is Duro Olowu....ever heard of it?  Well, I love it!

I found this watch in a basket at Target, no more like it and I just thought it was blingy and unique.  The band is like rubber and just opens up to fit any size wrist.

Last but not least at all my Keurig Single Serving Coffee & Tea machine.  It was a gift from Chris and I love him for getting this for me.  It has been used several times a day 24/7 since he bought it, so it was a good investment for him, for me :)

And finally my favorite tea mug & honey to sweeten it.  Can you believe I got this adorable little Winnie the Pooh honey container on clearance for .33 cents!  Wow!  I'm amazed all over again :)

Those are my faves for May, hope you enjoyed and have a great weekend!

Memorial Day Manicure

Happy Memorial Day!

Here are 3 shades of pink I thought I would try out today:

The first one is Wet N' Wild's fastdry nail color called "How I Met Your Magenta".

The shade is kind of a neon pink, which is pretty.  The polish itself goes on good but does not cover very well, in fact you can see my nail right through 2 coats of polish!

I do like the long handle on the brush though because it makes it easier to apply.

The next one is NYC's In A New York Color Minute quick dry.  That's not even the name of the color of the polish!  The color is called "Prospect Park Pink".

This is a real pretty coral/pink.  It goes on smooth and drys quick.  I really like this one!

The last one is my fave of all three.

It's Essie's "Fun in the Gondola".  It's a beautiful light mauve.  I went to walk the dog just now and it looks even more beautiful outside!

It goes on smooth and dries to a beautiful satin finish.

Hope you enjoyed my Pink Polish Review and if you want me to review any nail polishes for you, just let me know!

Manicure Monday: Coral

Happy Monday everyone!  I'm reviewing another nail polish today by Sally Hansen.  It's from the complete salon manicure line and the color is "Frutti Petutie" number 540.

Please excuse my messy desk background :)  I've tried the complete salon manicure line before and I love it.  It goes on very smooth with a flat brush (my fave).  No complaints about this polish.  However.....

......this color is awful!  It looks pretty on camera, but in person...Yuck!  The bottle looks like a Coral/Pink, very pretty, but when it goes on it's like a blinding pink/orange!  I guess if your on a tropical vacation it would look good, but just not for me...the polish not the vacation.  Anyway, I bought some new colors recently and I'm going to review them next Monday...so tune in :)  Take care :)

Target's Next Collaboration

Happy Thursday everyone!!  Today Target announced it's next designer collaboration.....and the next designer is...drum roll please...3.1 Phillip Lim!  Here is a little preview from the She Finds website, my go to for fashion news and information:

I love Target collabs!  Especially since where I live, I can pretty much have my first pick, since there are no lines here and no crowds.  I've even waited long enough for it to go on clearance, such as Jason Wu!

Click on the She Finds website above and find out more about what this Limited Edition Collection will have.  Make it a wonderful day :)

Manicure Monday: Wild Orchid

Happy Monday everyone!  Hope you all had a good weekend.  It was so much cooler here, which I love because it has been in the upper 80's for the past month.  The year before last it was like this in May, very hot and then it snowed and the next day it was back to the 80's!!

So the nail polish review of the week is Rimmel's "Wild Orchid".  It is a beautiful shade of lavender, but a little deeper in color.

I absolutely love Rimmel's nail polishes!  They have the flat brush that I like, plus they go on like a dream.

I put two coats of polish on and I didn't even need a shine top coat, but I may put one on later.  This polish was just under $4.00, I can't remember exactly, but for that price I actually...dare I say it?....like it better than Essie!  There.  I said it.  Just my opinion though.  Have a great day :)
